Harpster to challenge Rep. Lynn for 31st District seat

Posted

DOVER — Richard “Rich” Harpster, a Dover native, small businessman and veteran, filed to run for a second time as the Republican candidate against incumbent Democrat Sean Lynn for state representative in Dover’s 31st District.

Mr. Harpster has been a vocal critic of what he believes to be the failed leadership of Rep. Lynn in dealing with crime, undermining parental rights, and job and business creation.

Mr. Harpster plans a vigorous two-phased campaign, first making the case for change because he believes the incumbents are exacerbating the problems not solving them.

“It makes me angry to see this once great state being trashed,” said Mr. Harpster. “People need to know there is hope because the decline is not inevitable, it can be reversed and safety, prosperity and a good education can be the birthright of every Delawarean regardless of race, religion, sex, age, handicap, etc.”

Mr. Harpster’s website is Richharpster.com and his email is rich@richharpster.com. He can also be reached on Facebook.

Mr. Harpster is a son of the late Dr. Ronald Lee Harpster, DDS, and Loretta Harpster and is married to Melissa, with whom he has one daughter.
