Grossnickle Tournament benefits Taylors Island VFC

TAYLORS ISLAND - The 2022 Tom Grossnickle Fishing Tournament was a great success with 50 anglers registered and beautiful weather. The tournament benefited Taylors Island Volunteer Fire Company in memory of Mr. Grossnickle, who was an island firefighter and superb fisherman.

Anna Grossnickle organized the tournament and thanked Bruce and Ruthann Coulson of Taylors Island Family Campground, Lynn Stavdal, Russ Thompson, Grif Livingston and Kathi Artigliere, who either donated and/or helped.
The winners are:

ROCKFISH:
1st - Doug Ruth Jr.
2nd - Michelle Carbaugh
3rd - Anna Grossnickle

BLUE FISH:
1st - Chris Horton
2nd - Ken Bowers
3rd - Paul Curtis

WHITE PERCH:
1st - Doug Ruth Jr.
2nd - Doug Thompson
3rd - Mike Curtis

SNAKEHEAD:
1st - Mike Steigerwald
2nd - Doug Ruth Sr.
3rd - Doug Ruth Jr.

WOMAN LARGEST FISH:
Michele Carbaugh (winner of a necklace created and donated by Lynn Stavdale)

LARGEST FISH BY CHILD:
Caleb Danielson.
