Goodwill Staffing Services to host hiring event in Dover

DOVER — Employers throughout the First State are staffing up in preparation for the loosening of COVID-19 guidelines on May 21, and anticipated demand over the summer months. To support businesses in meeting the demand, Goodwill Staffing Services, a program of the non-profit Goodwill of Delaware & Delaware County, will host an outdoor hiring fair next week.

The fair is scheduled for Tuesday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Goodwill store in Dover,  at 1678 South Governors Ave., in the Rodney Village Shopping Center.

Goodwill Staffing Services hires for an array of roles including clerical/administrative, janitorial, drivers, and supply, storage and distribution. Full-time (30 hours/week) Goodwill Staffing employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401k benefits, plus paid time off and seven paid holidays per calendar year.

While the hiring fair will be focused on opportunities through Goodwill Staffing, team members will also be recruiting talent for Goodwill’s retail and ecommerce, industrial (janitorial and construction), and administrative programs. Job seekers will also have the opportunity to learn about Goodwill’s workforce development programs which support successful re-entry into the workforce through free training and case management.

Job seekers are encouraged to create a resume and cover letter using Goodwill’s free career connection. Candidates are  advised to dress professionally, bring multiple copies of their resume and a form of personal identification, as onsite interviews will be available. Walk-ups welcome.

Face coverings must be worn and social distancing will be observed.
