Georgetown holding 11 summer concerts at Sandhill Fields

GEORGETOWN — Backed by sponsorships, the town’s free summer concerts at Sandhill Fields are taking place from just before Memorial Day to just before Labor Day.

The 11 concerts are on Thursday evenings from 7-9. They each will be accompanied by a food vendor and The Frozen Farmer, which will offer treats for purchase. Patrons are welcome to bring chairs.

Concert dates and sponsors are:

  • May 25 — 33 1/3 (Hazzard/Carquest Auto Parts).
  • June 1 — Jones Boys (Boozer Construction).
  • June 8 — Sticky Situation Band (Short Funeral Services in memory of Lori Winzenried).
  • June 15 — South Bound (Davis, Bowen & Friedel and anonymous resident).
  • June 22 — Big Hat No Cattle (Stockley Tavern & Package Store).
  • June 29 — Charlie and the CoolTones (Wawa).
  • July 6 — Ty Sherwood (Wawa).
  • Aug. 3 — Sticky Situation Band (Haller & Hudson law firm).
  • Aug. 17 — Jones Boys (PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Georgetown).
  • Aug. 24 — 33 1/3 (Fulton Bank).
  • Aug. 31 — The Funsters (JD Shuckers).
