LEWES — The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park presented a check on May 20 for $500 to the Delaware River & Bay Lighthouse Foundation.
This donation was in gratitude for the work repairing the Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse and also for speaking at the Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park annual meeting.
The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park is a volunteer organization that works with the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation and the staff of Cape Henlopen State Park to support and advocate for the public parks.
Delaware River & Bay Lighthouse Foundation is an all-volunteer organization that serves as the caretaker for Delaware's Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse, which stands offshore from the park.
