PRINCESS ANNE — Preservation Maryland is leading a workshop on gravestone cleaning, care, resetting and maintenance Thursday, May 26 at Mt. Zion Memorial Church at 29071 Polks Road.
Sponsored by the Campaign for Historic Trades program, it begins 12:30 p.m. with an introduction to cemetery preservation with a break at 2:30 (bring your own snacks and beverage). Following that there will be guided practice and a question and answer session.
The event is free, register online at https://tinyurl.com/mpdru5a6. This program was made possible by a grant from the Rural Maryland Council. Additional support was provided by last fall’s Save a Grave fundraising campaign and Atlas Preservation.
