DOVER — Four Dover residents were arrested on drug and firearms charges Tuesday, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.

According to authorities, Nicole Szabo, 37, and Jeremy Creppon, 25, were determined to be in possession of a handgun and selling meth out of their residence in the 100 block of Holmes Street.

On Tuesday, police said, officers stopped Ms. Szabo in a vehicle and located 6.8 grams of meth and 9 mm ammunition. She told officers the gun was at the Holmes Street residence and that her boyfriend, Mr. Creppon, was also there, Sgt. Hoffman said. Mr. Creppon was also in violation of his probation.

Officers then responded to the residence with an administrative search warrant and contacted Larry Milburn, 56; Jemma Tinley, 37; and four juveniles. Officers had those six vacate the home and attempted to contact Mr. Creppon, who was in a rear bedroom, police said.

He refused to exit the room, Sgt. Hoffman said, so the Special Operations Response Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team were called.

After attempts to contact Mr. Creppon via phone and loudspeaker, officers broke a rear window to deploy a “throw phone” with which to contact him.

After the window was broken, the suspect surrendered without further incident.

Sgt. Hoffman said Mr. Creppon was in possession of 22 bags of heroin. During a search of the room, officers also located a 9 mm handgun, he said.

Officers also found 7.5 grams of meth and 216 bags of heroin in the home's garage, which had been converted into a bedroom that Mr. Milburn and Ms. Tinley resided in, police said. The four juveniles were turned over to other family members.

She faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited, second-degree conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child (four counts).

Mr. Creppon was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on a $30,600 cash bond. He was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited (three counts), second-degree conspiracy, resisting arrest and violation of probation.
