GEORGETOWN — Former ambassador Tom McDonald has joined the Pathways to Success board of directors.

Mr. McDonald, who served as U.S. ambassador to Zimbabwe from 1997 to 2001, is a partner in the law firm Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease in Washington, D.C., leading its administrative and regulatory law and governmental policy practice. He advises corporate CEOs and legal officers on a variety of government relations issues in Washington, in state capitals and internationally.

“I’m thrilled to join the Pathways to Success Board,” he said. “Throughout my career, I have found opportunities to support youth and families located in at-risk communities, so service with Pathways to Success is an important way to continue these efforts in Delaware, where I have invested a significant amount of time and interest in the community and also have a home in Rehoboth Beach.”

Mr. McDonald gives back through an active pro bono practice, including as lead counsel for the plaintiffs in Coalition for Education Reform, et al. v. Indian River School District.

Pathways to Success, headquartered in Georgetown, prepares youth, adults and families for successful lives by utilizing creative approaches in mentoring and education.
