CRISFIELD — For the second time in less than three weeks the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the intentional burning of a pickup truck parked outside a residential home.

At 6:02 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 a passerby reported a fire at 26617 Old State Road and Crisfield volunteer firefighters found a 2022 GMC Canyon had been set on fire in the cargo area. The Fire Marshal estimated the loss to be $32,000.

It was 1:21 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13 when firefighters responded to the same address for the intentional burning of a 2021 GMC Canyon. The loss on that was estimated to be $10,000 for the truck plus $500 in contents.

Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is urged to contact the State Fire Marshal’s Office at 410-713-3780 or the Arson Tip Line at 1-800-492-7529.
