Tevon Norwood was located outside a residence in the 24000 block of Kruger Road, Georgetown, and taken into custody without incident.

A search warrant was executed on the residence, police said, and the following items were found:

  • Approximately 246.5 grams of cocaine.
  • $16,223 in suspected drug proceeds.
  • Drug paraphernalia.
  • One box of .38-caliber ammunition.
  • One box of .40-caliber ammunition.

Police added that a K-9 scan conducted on a blue BMW X1 and a black Mazda6 at the scene resulted in an alert of the presence of narcotics. Search warrants were obtained for the vehicles, and found inside the BMW was approximately 0.32 grams of cocaine, Cpl. Pepper said. No narcotics were located in the Mazda.

Mr. Norwood was charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2, Rehoboth Beach, and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, near Smyrna, on a $105,500 secured bond.
