Haltom, state judge advocate for the Delaware Air National Guard, will speak to the Dover chapter of the Military Officers Association of America at its dinner meeting May 19 at Roma Italian Ristorante, 3 President Drive.

Dover MOAA celebrates scholarship winners

DOVER — In honor of its 2022 Junior ROTC scholarship winners, Brig. Gen. Kenneth M. Haltom, state judge advocate for the Delaware Air National Guard, will speak to the Dover chapter of the Military Officers Association of America at its dinner meeting May 19 at Roma Italian Ristorante, 3 President Drive.

The Findlay $2,500 award will go to Cadet Juliana Diaz of Caesar Rodney High School. The Dover chapter’s $1,500 awards will go to Cadet Kyndall Wyngaard of First State Military Academy, Cadet Roberto Santana Cintrón of FSMA, Cadet Harleigh-Lynn Rust of CR, Cadet Rocco Alessandro of CR and Cadet Cheyenne R. Hill of Smyrna High School.

Social hour begins at 5, with dinner at 6. The meeting will adjourn by 8. Menu selections are chicken cacciatore, eggplant parmigiana, spaghetti and meatballs or Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Contact Tom Smith at rotorhead65@aol.com to make reservations.

This will be the chapter’s last meeting until Sept. 16, when Kent County Levy Court Commissioner Jody Sweeney will be the guest speaker.
