Dover man injured in shooting

DOVER — A 26-year-old Dover man was severely injured during a shooting incident Wednesday morning at Dover Country Club Apartments.

Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said the man was found with gunshot wounds to his face, arm and torso by officers called to Building F in the complex on Fairway Lakes Drive. Officers, who had received a shots fired report, rendered aid until medical personnel arrived, Sgt. Hoffman said.

Police said the incident occurred at approximately 6:32 a.m.

The wounded man was transported to Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus for treatment. His condition was unknown Wednesday, Sgt. Hoffman said.

The nvestigation is ongoing and police asked anyone with information to call 736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online. A cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
