Dover man arrested on weapons charges

DOVER - Unique Trader Jr., 19, of Dover, was arrested on weapons charges following a traffic stop Monday afternoon, authorities said.

Dover police spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said that at approximately 3:36 p.m., officers stopped Mr. Trader in a vehicle after observing a traffic violation.

Mr. Trader was found to have an active warrant and was taken into custody without incident near the intersection of Saulsbury Road and Walker Road, police said.

According to police, Mr. Trader was found to be in possession of a black 9mm handgun, which had no engraved serial number.

Mr. Trader was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of an untraceable firearm, and felony breach of release. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on an $18,000 unsecured bail.
