Does campaign signage make a difference?

Are you influenced by campaign signs on Delaware’s roads? What catches your eye? Should any changes be made to the state’s rules about political signs?

• In a state like Delaware, many folks are known, or folks have heard of them. The signs can help make connections when you haven’t heard of the people. In the biggest picture, probably not much of a difference. — Howard Gaines III
• Being on all main roads and everyone’s lawns by the thousands, you definitely can’t miss them. But, with some of the unknown names, I do actually look these people up and the position they are running for. But all signs on state roads must be removed by the mandated time after the election. Or have the Department of Transportation remove them and issue a big fine. — Denise Bella
• Signs are a reminder for people to vote, and they tell who’s running for office. So, yes, they are good. That said, a law needs to be passed that they need to list the party of the person running. — Name withheld
