Dining with Diabetes is a program designed for people with diabetes and their families but is open to anyone with or without diabetes.
The fee for the series is $50. Classes will be held in Newark starting on April 29, in Dover starting on March 5, and in Georgetown starting on April 1. Call 302-730-4000 or email Kimi Moore at kamoore@udel.edu for questions. More information can be found at udel.edu/extension/diabetes.
The five-class series includes diabetes education, cooking demonstrations, and tasting of healthy foods. Participants will learn strategies to manage their diabetes through meal planning, food selection, portion control & label reading.
This program is presented by the University of Delaware Cooperative Extension, a service of the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources — a land-grant institution. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. For special needs that need to be accommodated, contact the office two weeks prior to the events.
