Dewey Beach police charge man with multiple felonies

DEWEY BEACH — After reportedly observing multiple motor vehicle violations around 2:15 a.m. Friday, town police initiated a traffic stop and arrested the driver, Kyle Kilgo, 21, of Rehoboth Beach.

During the stop, around Coastal Highway and Scarborough Lane Extended, officers found a large knife in the glove compartment, police said, as well as a significant amount of marijuana and suspected promethazine, a prescription antihistamine that can be addictive but is generally not used alone recreationally.

Mr. Kilgo was charged with possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a Tier 1 quantity of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia not related to personal use and several motor vehicle violations.
