Delaware's Dental Care Access Task Force to hold first meeting

Posted

The Dental Care Access Task Force, enacted by the 151st General Assembly, will hold its first meeting Wednesday.

The agenda includes membership introductions, a logistics outline, presentations, a group discussion and time for public comment.

The meeting will be held virtually at 6 p.m.

The group was created under Senate Bill 277, sponsored by Sen. Sarah McBride, D-Wilmington, and received bipartisan co-sponsorship from several members of the General Assembly. The legislation aimed to expand access to dental care for individuals in underserved communities and was signed by Gov. John Carney on Aug. 30.

The task force is required to submit a report on their findings by Feb. 1, 2023.
