Sticking it out through the weekend heat and thick rough -- and outlasting a second-round charge by the runner-up C.G. Anderson -- Denny Scot held on to his lead to win the Green Hill Country Club Senior Club Championship.
Scot’s two-round total of 156 earned him a coveted parking space and $150 in credit book cash. Anderson’s two-day total of 161 earned $90 and the ability to feel good about his second-round score of 77.
John Kilian took 3rd Gross and $60.
Steve Hentschel secured the Low Net prize and $150 in credit book money for his two-round total of 141. Second Low Net went to Dr. Alex Zito with a 152. Al Parker took Third Low Net with a 153.
In the White Tees Flight, Dr. Greg Thompson shot an 83 to win the Gross Prize for his flight.
Second Low Gross went to Jeff Badger with a 92.
Low Net in the White Tees Flight went to Cam Jackson with a 2 under par 70. Second Low Net went to Dave King with a 76.
In the Gold Tees Flight, Dr. Chas Brenner once again took the Low Gross honors with a fine round of 85. The Low Net prize went to Fred Puente with a round of 78.
Petra Bernstein won the Ladies Senior Club Championship, shooting a round of 104.
Low Net in the Ladies Flight went to Phyllis Kilian, with a round of 87.
