Delegation assists Delawareans in Afghanistan

WILMINGTON — The offices of Sens. Tom Carper and Chris Coons and Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, all D-Del., are continuing efforts to aid Delawareans who are in Afghanistan.

According to a news release from the delegation, each office also is looking to aid Delawareans with family or loved ones in Afghanistan who are seeking assistance evacuating.

Constituents can contact any of the offices — carper.senate.gov, coons.senate.gov or bluntrochester.house.gov — and provide the individual’s full legal name, age, citizenship, gender and date of birth, along with the following information:

  • Current status — Is he or she an American citizen, a lawful permanent resident (green card holder), a woman at risk, an Afghan currently holding a special immigrant visa, an Afghan that is in the SIV process or an Afghan that has been referred to the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program through a Priority 1 or Priority 2 referral? (If he or she was referred to USRAP, indicate what government agency or U.S. media/U.S. nongovernment organization referred him or her.)
  • Connection to the United States and national ID number (where applicable).
  • Passport details, including document number.
  • Current location, mobility and contact information, including email, phone number, messaging abilities, etc.
