DOVER—The Administration committee in Delaware’s House of Representatives will meet for the first time on Jan. 11 at noon.

Comprised of leadership from both parties in the state House, the committee will consider two pieces of legislation during the inaugural meeting of the 152nd General Assembly.

The first, House Bill 25, establishes that rebates issued under the 2022 Delaware Relief Rebate Program are qualified disaster relief payments. The legislation is sponsored by Administration committee Chair and House Majority Leader Valerie Longhurst, D-Bear.

The second, HB 26, gives state employees 30, rather than 15, days of annual paid leave to attend training camp or special duty for the military reserves or Delaware National Guard. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Bill Bush, D-Dover.

The meeting can be attended by members of the public in person, or virtually by visiting legis.delaware.gov.
