CLAYMONT — The seventh annual Shining Light Awards will take place Aug. 3 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Waterfall. Each year, the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition hosts the awards to recognize those who have made significant contributions toward ending breast cancer in the greater Delaware region and who have served to motivate and inspire others.

The 2022 honorees are Harrington Raceway & Casino and its president/CEO, Patti Key, as well as Tabitha Medical Care and its founder, Nadya Julien. Both have gone above and beyond for DBCC by giving their time, dedication, resources and more to further the fight against breast cancer in Delaware.

As we continue to emerge from the pandemic, DBCC has been a resource and helping hand to those needing to be screened or have been diagnosed. Staff, with partners such as Tabitha Medical Care and Harrington Raceway & Casino, have been working to get individuals back on track, prioritizing their health and, if diagnosed, offering survivorship services and programs.

The reception will include networking, a large variety of hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and the 2022 awards ceremony. Sponsorships and tickets can be purchased here.
