Darlyn Ann Fitzhugh, 80
Darlyn Ann Fitzhugh, 80, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born in Cambridge on November 26, 1943 and was a daughter of the late William and Ethelyn Pusey Hoge.
Mrs. Fitzhugh graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1961. On July 25, 1992 she married Nolan Rufus Fitzhugh who passed away on July 3, 2009. She worked for Airpax, was a CNA at Chesapeake Woods Center and later at Matech where she retired in May of 2009. Mrs. Fitzhugh enjoyed being with her family, going to yard sales, collecting antiques, traveling, going out to dinner, going to the movies, her pets and her fish pond.
She is survived by four children, Quentin Wade Dawson and his wife Reese, Tina Dawson Wieciech and husband Paul Wieciech, William David Wyatt Dawson (Meagan), Alta Melissa Dawson (Ivan Bonneville), grandchildren, Reece Todd (Debbie), Billy Peterson (Gennie), Joshua Peterson (Katelyn), Tommy Ashton III (Kayla), Carolina Ashton, Sabrina Bonneville, Ivan Bonneville Jr., Brandon Bonneville (Amber), Amber Tinley, and Cerah Dawson and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother William David Hoge and wife Dottie, niece Lisa Moore and nephew Mike Hoge, a sister in law Louise Turner Prahl, Quentin Dawson father of her children, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Darlyn April Renee Dawson Ashton, a brother Sheldon Schultz and a grandson Logan Parks IV.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
