DAR, Col. John Haslet Chapter honors veterans with party, lap blankets
DOVER — The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Colonel John Haslet Chapter in Dover honored veterans Nov. 8 at Dover Place senior living community with a Veterans Day pizza and ice cream party.
Eight veterans who served in the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, and Army National Guard were recognized for their military service. The Chapter presented two veterans with patriotic lap quilts handmade by DAR member Sharon Burge.
