Dagsboro drug investigation brings three arrests

DAGSBORO — A drug investigation over several months resulted in three arrests Thursday, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said.

According to authorities, Antonio A. Drummond, 43, of Dagsboro, had been investigated for alleged drug activity. He and a 17-year-old male were taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop, and Cheryl Drummond, 59, was arrested at a residence on Dagsboro Road.

A search warrant at the residence located approximately 11.29 grams of cocaine, approximately 159.09 grams of marijuana, approximately 18.11 grams of heroin, approximately 13.95 grams of heroin (1,993 bags), $44,311 in possible drug proceeds, four 12-gauge shotguns, a muzzleloader, a Colt .25-caliber handgun and multiple drug paraphernalia items, Cpl. Pepper said.

Mr. Drummond was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in Tier 3 quantity, five counts of possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in Tier 2 quantity, second-degree conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on a $183,400 cash bond.

Ms. Drummond was charged with maintaining a drug property. She was arraigned in JP Court and released on her own recognizance.

The 17-year-old male was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in JP Court and released on his own recognizance.
