Services at Grace UMC

Lenten Lunches

Community Lenten Noontime Lunches begin Feb. 20 and will continue for 5 weeks.

Held in the Baraca Room of Grace Church in Cambridge, there will be a 20-minute Lenten devotional by variuos community pastors followed by a soup and sandwich lunch served by various community churches.

Nazarene Services

At the Cambridge Church of the Nazarene, Sunday at 10:45 a.m. the Rev. Richard Prahl will be preaching on Mark 1:9-15. Cheryl Thompson will minister in song.

Wesleyan Activities

The Cambridge Wesleyan Church is now offering two services. 8 a.m. Traditional service and 10:45 a.m. a Contemporary service. Sunday,

Richardson Men

The Gleaners Class of St. Paul’s UM Church in Cambridge will meet at 9:45 a.m. Sunday with Gloria Whaley having the devotions and Dot Bradshaw teaching the lesson. The Richardson Men’s Class will meet Sunday at 9:45 a.m. with Leon Peters having the devotions and teaching the lesson.

Sister to Sister

Sister to Sister is a women’s ministry of the New Life Christian Church and Ministries. The ministry meets the 2nd Saturday of every month with a themed event for food, fellowship and/or prayer. There is no charge and all are welcome.

Black History

Month Series

Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church, 425 High St., Cambridge, will host a series of four keynote speakers in recognition of Black History Month in February 2018. Each speaker, in presenting the theme: “The Journey,” will bring their spiritual message to the church on a specific Sunday at 10 a.m.

The speakers’ schedule: Feb 18 Boyd Kevin Rutherford, Lieutenant Governor of the State of Maryland; and Feb. 25, James Collins, Chief Information Officer of the State of Delaware. Come join our services!

Prayer Breakfast

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 712 Bradley Ave., Cambridge will host this month’s Ladies Prayer Breakfast on Saturday at 8 a.m.

A spiritual monologue will be given by Lay Servant, Serena Greg. The Rev. Jerome Tilghman St. is the pastor.

Black History Month Celebration

Bethel AME Church, 623 Pine St., Cambridge will hold a Black History Month Celebration beginning at 3 p.m. on Feb. 25. Featured will be Bishop J. J. Green & The Anointed Five of Cambridge in concert.

The concert is sponsored by the Men of Bethel. Host pastor is the Rev. Randolph Fitchett. The public is invited.

Annual Men’s Day

Waters UM Church, 4561 Fork Neck Road will celebrate its annual Men’s Day at 3:30 p.m. on March 11. Speaker will be the Rev. Emmanuel Johnson of Snow Hill/Ebenezer Charge.

Host pastor is the Rev. Roslyn Watts with Lawrence E. Pinder as president.

Annual Men’s Breakfast

Waters UM Church, 4561 Fork Neck Road will celebrate its Annual Men’s Breakfast on March 24 from 7 to 9:30 a.m. A donation of $7 is asked. The Rev. Roslyn Watts is host pastor. Lawrence E. Pinder is president.
