Constance Lea Moxey

Constance Lea Moxey, age 86, of East New Market, MD peacefully passed away on August 9, 2024 at Candle Light Cove in Easton, MD. Born on May 7, 1938 in Fishing Creek, MD, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Edgar Willey and Emma Virginia Wallace Willey.
Her love for Hoopers Island was never ending and always spoke about the island with pride. She married Joseph L. Moxey on February 7, 1959, and worked beside him operating their business, J & C Distributors until his death in 1994. She also worked at Airpax Electronics in Cambridge, MD. for 23 years.
Connie loved the Lord and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her passion was books of all kinds and reading them on her porch in her swing. She also enjoyed shopping with friends, family get togethers and doing crafts. She was a member of the Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary, MD.
Connie is survived by her two daughters; Melanie Renee' Trice (husband John) of Preston, MD, Michele Denise Miller (husband Toni) of Kennett Square, PA; five grandchildren, John R. Trice III (wife Annie), Amy Kate Kuebeck, Catherine Marie Poague (husband Brent), Rebecca Leigh Warnock (husband Zach) and Samantha Michele Marshall (husband Keith). She had 10 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Kenna, Maci, Zoe, Jackson, Carson, Killian, Jacoby, Riley and Axel. She is also survived by her sister Reida and brother-in-law Bill Foxwell of Church Creek, MD and several nieces and nephews. Surviving her also are Peggy and Gene Warfield who were her close neighbors and dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert H. Willey.
Funeral services were held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Beulah, MD. Officiating was Pastor Dennis Gilliard. Serving as pallbearers were John Trice, Jr., Kevin Willey, Donald Willey, Dale Foxwell, Toni DeRosa and John Trice, III.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Talbot Hospice, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD 21601.
Arrangements were in care of Zeller Funeral Home, East New Market, MD.
