Clarence "Greg" Dempsey, 64

    Clarence "Greg" Dempsey passed away at home on April 20, 2025.
    Greg was a loving husband to Kellye of 41 years, and devoted father to his two children, Gregory and Amy.
    Greg was a third generation farmer who worked tirelessly to provide for his family, always putting their needs first. He enjoyed sharing his passion for farming and working alongside his son and best friend Gregory, as well as his two brothers and nephews.
    Greg has been recognized by the National Corn Growers Association for his high corn yield and placed second and third in the state wide contest multiple years.
    Greg loved to travel and take his family on vacations to help create memories of a lifetime. Cruising to islands, staying at all inclusive resorts, Colorado ski trips and the annual Commodity Classic were his favorite destinations.
    Greg's greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren, Roman and Mya. Taking them on golf cart rides around the family farm, pushing them on the swingset or spending long weekends in the mountains at the family cabin brought him immense joy.
    Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Dempsey and Alice Mae Dempsey Jacobs, and granddaughters, Scarlett and Nataleigh Morris.
    Greg is survived by his wife, Kellye Dempsey, son, Gregory Dempsey, daughter, Amy Morris (Rob), grandchildren, Roman and Mya Morris, brothers, Bruce Dempsey (Vicki), Charlie Dempsey (Cindy), stepfather Sam Jacobs and many nieces and nephews.
    A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Faries Funeral Home, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, Delaware at 12 p.m. where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your local Ronald McDonald House or The Gift of Life House, 401 Callowhill St., Philadelphia, PA 19123.
