Chilled and thrilled: Special Olympics delighted as Polar Bear Plunge once again raises $1M

With her bare feet planted in the sand, young Lily Dorman assessed her Polar Bear Plunge debut Sunday in Rehoboth Beach as such: “very cold, and I can’t feel my feet,” she said. “But no frostbite today.”

Her brother, Bentley Dorman, offered another perspective.

“It wasn’t as cold as I was expecting it to be,” he said.
