KENT COUNTY — The Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity raised $14,000 in their annual Hearts 4 Homes campaign this year.

CDHFH held the fifth annual Hearts 4 Homes campaign from Feb. 17 to April 30, raising awareness for the rise in cost of construction supplies and the impact that has on the ability to build and repair homes through the organization’s affordable homeownership programs. The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic are still being felt as inflation and supply chain issues remain.

For the 2022 campaign, CDHFH raised over $2,000 in donated construction supplies and $14,000 in monetary funds, which will be used to help grow the organization’s neighborhood revitalization initiative through future projects in downtown Dover. Since 2015, CDHFH has invested over $7.9 million in Kent County, including $4 million in downtown Dover.
