Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del., announced plans to participate in two events in New Castle County on Wednesday.
In Wilmington, the senator will announce a $4.8 million capital infrastructure project to kick-start sewer upgrades. The project is part of the development of communities in south Wilmington and is funded through spending secured by Delaware’s congressional delegation. The event will take place at Dravo Plaza, 920 Pettinaro Park Drive, from 10-11 a.m.
In the afternoon, Sen. Carper will tour highway-improvement projects on Elkton Road, Newark. He will attend with members of the Delaware Contractors Association and the Associated General Contractors of America from 1:30-2:30 p.m., beginning at Dunkin’, 1142 Elkton Road.
