MSCFV is a comprehensive domestic violence program which provides support with the following services to victims in crisis and through their transition to self-sufficiency and independence by providing a Crisis Shelter, 24-hour hotline, individual counseling, legal advocacy and accompaniment to court proceedings, attorneys to represent victims in Final Protective Order hearings, divorce and custody cases. A Transitional Program (including a Transitional House), therapeutic mental health counseling, crisis response, emergency food and clothing. MSCFV services are provided not only in English but in Spanish through a Bilingual Advocate. MSCFV also provides an Abuser Intervention Program in each county. The Care and Share Fund of Dorchester County, a charitable organization serving vulnerable adults and children throughout the community is better known for its sponsorship of the annual Santa Swim held each year at the Hyatt in Cambridge.
