Camden male, 19, charged with theft, burglary

CAMDEN — A 19-year-old Camden male was arrested in connection with multiple theft and burglary incidents that began in December 2020, Delaware State Police said.

According to DSP, investigation into numerous burglaries, thefts of vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, and golf carts began in December 2020. Police said William Figgatt Jr. was identified as a suspect in the thefts.

Troopers attempted to locate Mr. Figgatt but were unsuccessful. DSP issued a news release on Nov. 17 in an attempt to locate him, and he was arrested on Tuesday with assistance from the community.

Mr. Figgatt was charged with multiple counts of theft $1,500 or greater, motor vehicle, third-degree burglary, selling stolen property over $1,500, and second-degree trespass, theft under $1,500 and criminal mischief. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court and released on a $7,420 unsecured bond.
