Camden female dies in vehicle crash

DOVER - Eboni Fisher, 45, of Camden, died in a single-vehicle crash Monday, Delaware State Police spokesperson Senior Cpl. Jason Hatchell said.

Cpl. Hatchell said that at approximately 5:55 p.m., a 2001 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Wheel of Fortune Road south of Dyke Branch Road. The vehicle traveled out of control on a slight curve, left the roadway and struck a tree, police said.

The 59-year-old male driver was wearing a seat belt and was airlifted by the Delaware State Police Helicopter to an area hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.

Ms. Fisher, who police said was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wheel of Fortune Road was closed for approximately four hours while the crash was investigated, and the roadway was cleared.

The Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this collision. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Sgt. Wheatley by calling 302-698-8518.
