BRIDGEVILLE — Delaware State Police are investigating a shots-fired incident, which took place at a Bridgeville residence Saturday night or Sunday morning.
Cpl. Amina Ali, spokesman for the state police, said troopers responded to a residence in the 8000 block of Cannon Road on Sunday at around 2:34 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
An investigation determined the residence was struck by a single bullet in a second-story window at an unknown time Saturday night into Sunday morning. There was no one home at the time of the shooting, and no injuries were reported.
Upon his return, the homeowner saw damage to his home and discovered a bullet located inside a storage room. Troopers found one spent shell casing on the shoulder of Cannon Road, north of the residence.
There are no surveillance images available and there is no description of the suspect.
