Billy DeVary State Senate District 18

Posted

Candidate Name:  Billy DeVary

Party:   officially American first, Democrat second

Age:    41

Hometown:  born and raised in Milford and Slaughter Beach

Political experience: I run because we all know what we have isn’t working, and being legally state disabled, my right arm I can’t lift a single pound legally; receiving only $79/monthly; I’m in the systems that are not working; a perspective I believe never seen before in politics.

Professional experience:  I have a medical (medical assistant) and law background (criminal justice, interested in suing doctors for a living). I’ve been tested “almost genius” by Delaware, in my pursuit to get any job thru the systems designed to help those in need; told me I should be an anthropologist, (someone who studies civilizations) and being my injury and smarts…they couldn’t help me find a job. I’ve been in courts trying to stop my son’s child abuse in two other states besides Delaware. I am trained in and have law experience; Dave Wilson does not.

What uniquely qualifies you for this office?

What are the top three issues for this office in your view?

My top priorities and ways to improve are as follows…establish a national child abuse registry; as currently there are flaws in flaws and systems and procedures and communication between courts, CPS, and schools; and sickly as it stands…a child can be “locked” in abuse in another state because we do not have universal jurisdiction.

My front yard is Slaughter Beach.  With a victory…I plan to go after every cent included in the Inflation Reduction Act for environmental change.  I believe here, we could build an environmental hub, solar and wind energy, as well as building self-sustainable “floating cities”, and building saltwater to freshwater conversation systems.

With an environmental hub, we create massive amounts of great paying $$$ jobs, as well as what’s being produced being sold off, creating massive amount of $$$$ for profit to benefit everyone, and everything.

New business could come in and actually last; firefighters can begin to get paid; cops, nurses, COs, teachers… every job in general can then receive pay increases as everyone will own a share/benefit from the hub.

What would be your top priority if elected?

I gave my right arm to my dream of baseball, five surgeries, disabled me for life…$79 month I’d be homeless depending on our systems. I believe I can improve this area by making the hub in which putting slower lower on the map, and giving this area a way to get away from the “man”; an example other then the rising gas prices, if the dependence on the “man”….as I went to a Slaughter Beach meeting, and the town is on FEMAs whenever they feel like delivering sand to them…and had a beach grass shortage; where we create and have our own energy, and money… we don’t need anything…. We can build a better-quality community, as currently this area does not offer many places to work.  I also would like to look into bringing something like Six Flags in, to again establish good jobs, but also add much needed entertainment value…as there’s not much to do.

Dave’s idea for improvement is to dump millions into the Milford boat yard; something that is and would be a sad joke.

If you could change one state policy or law, what would it be?

What can Delaware do about its workforce issues?

What, if any, gun laws would you change?

A change to gun law I would make, is the simple fact as a legal marijuana user, it disables me from buying a gun.

How would protect or change abortion rights in the state?

My campaign is endorsed by Planned Parenthood chapter; as I believe all women have the right to make their own medical decisions about their own body, and their own baby, and their situation.

Do you support the State Employee Benefits Committee’s move to Medicare Advantage Plan for state retirees? Why?
