Bicyclist victim identified in fatal Dover collision

DOVER - The Dover Police Department has identified Mauricio Correa, 36, of Dover, as the victim who died following a collision with a motor vehicle on Tuesday, spokesperson Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said.

Police said Mr. Correa was riding a bicycle that was struck by a motor vehicle that failed to stop for a red light on South DuPont Highway at approximately 6:45 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another bicyclist was treated at an area for non-life threatening injuries as a result, authorities said.
