Becker Morgan Group has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Duncan Kihiuria to support his journey toward becoming an engineer. A May graduate of Wicomico High School, Kihiuria is enrolled at the University of Maryland, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.  

After a conversation with a family member several years ago, Kihiuria decided to explore civil engineering as a profession. In high school, he enrolled in the county school system’s Computer Assisted Drafting and Design course through Parkside High School’s Career and Technology Program.

He realized he had found a career path he was passionate about and secured an internship with a local firm to further his knowledge while still in high school.
