Occupied home struck by gunfire in Dover

DOVER — An occupied home was hit by gunfire Tuesday, but there were no injuries.

At approximately 5:08 p.m., Delaware State Police responded to a residence on North Governors Boulevard after a call that the building had been struck.

Troopers discovered that, sometime in the early morning, the house had been hit by bullets several times, police said. They also recovered numerous shell casings.

Authorities said there were two adults and three children in the home at the time. The motive remains unclear.

A suspect description was unknown Friday.
