Wicomico Sunrise Photo Walk set Saturday in Whitehaven

Posted

Amateur and professional photographers are invited to join Wicomico County Tourism this month for a Wicomico County Sunrise Photo Walk in the village of Whitehaven.

The free event is set for Saturday, Oct. 23, from 6:45 to 8:45 a.m. Meet by the Whitehaven Ferry, located at 23865 River St. in Whitehaven, but do not plan to ride the ferry to the event, as it will not yet be open. Participants should bring a camera; a smartphone is fine.

Attendees can interact with other photographers, capture beautiful sunrise photos, explore the village and have their work shared in the community. Wicomico County Tourism will share photos from the event on its Wicomico County Tourism blog and on social media, with credit.

“Our past two photo walk events have been a lot of fun, and I’m excited to try something a little bit different at this one by giving photographers the ability to capture the sunrise as part of the event,” said Vanessa Junkin, Marketing and Public Relations manager for Wicomico County Recreation, Parks & Tourism.

Sign up via a Google form available at WicomicoTourism.org under “General Information” and then “Tourism Blog.”

There is a rain date of Oct. 24; participants will be notified if the rain date is needed.

The attached photo was taken at the Wicomico County Photo Walk that Wicomico County Tourism held in Downtown Salisbury in the spring.
