Wings & Wheels’ Saturday event canceled in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN — Given a Saturday forecast calling for wind and rain from remnants of Hurricane Ian, organizers of Wings & Wheels have canceled that day’s portion of the festival.

The event was to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Delaware Coastal Airport, Georgetown.

“It is with a very heavy heart that we let you know, due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Ian, we are canceling only our Saturday event,” said Linda Price, president of the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, the presenter of Wings & Wheels. “We thank all of you for your continued support of our event and hope that you will be back with us in 2023.”

Friday’s events are still a go, Ms. Price said. They include Pathways to Education for high school students and a dinner show.
