Monthly birding hikes begin this month at Janes Island State Park
CRISFIELD — In partnership with the Maryland Ornithological Society, Tri-County Chapter, Janes Island State Park is offering a monthly birding hike. These hikes will be held on the fourth Wednesday of every month, starting on May 24, at 9 a.m. Meet at the Nature Center.
Participants will be able to learn birding from MOS volunteers and observe the different species of birds that call Janes Island home.
This easy hike is open for birders of all ages and experiences. Bringing your own binoculars is encouraged, but the park will have a limited number available for use.
