PRINCESS ANNE — Manokin Presbyterian Church — an early donor to The Lower Shore Shelter — is now rated a “Platinum” sponsor for donating $10,000.

“Manokin Presbyterian has always been a strong supporter of the Lower Shore Shelter,” according to a recent post on Facebook. “They were the first to donate $5,000 in 2017 to furnish one of our units that now provides 8 shelter beds.”

Since last fall the church has been pastored by the Rev. Amy Lawrence, who was previously at First Presbyterian Church of Sussex, N.J. Sunday services are 10 a.m.

Manokin Presbyterian is one of five churches organized by the Rev. Francis Makemie in 1672. It’s location has been a site of worship in Princess Anne for nearly 350 years and the congregation will be celebrating that anniversary next year.
