Crisfield Shore Stop among stores raising money for MDA

Posted

RICHMOND — Shore Stop in Crisfield and other Shore Stop stores on Maryland’s and Virginia’s Eastern Shore as well as Delaware are among the nearly 1,400 stores taking part in the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) holiday retail fundraising campaign.

GPM Investments launched the campaign on Nov. 14 and it runs through Dec. 16 with a goal to raise $300,000 for MDA.

Shore Stop employees invite customers to participate in the MDA Holiday campaign by donating at checkout or rounding up their purchase. Donations to this year’s holiday campaign may also be made directly online here.

“Our customers are the heart of our business, and efforts like this show what amazing support is within the local communities we serve,” said Michael Bloom, executive vice president and chief marketing and merchandising officer at GPM Investments LLC.

“Looking across our store windows, we’re proud to display pinups as part of Muscular Dystrophy Association’s holiday retail fundraiser and raise money for a good cause once again.”

For over 11 years, the limited liability company’s retailers have raised funds to accelerate research, advance care, and advocate for the support of families living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases.
