Chesapeake Utilities recognized for growth

DOVER — Chesapeake Utilities Corporation was recently selected as the 2021 recipient of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Large Business of the Year Award.

This award is presented annually to a firm with a staff of more than 50 with a record as an established business.
To be eligible for the award, the company must demonstrate growth through at least two years of operations, demonstrate an innovative approach to the market, and provide superior customer service.

This award is sponsored by Salisbury Wicomico Economic Development and was presented during the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce annual award luncheon on Oct. 27.

“We are honored to be chosen as the Large Business of the Year in the Salisbury area,” said Shane Breakie, vice president of Chesapeake Utilities and Sandpiper Energy. “This award is especially meaningful because it celebrates our long-standing commitment to the communities where we live, work and serve.
