I think future development in Sussex County can avoid harming the inland bays if laws and regulations are enacted now to make it happen. My thinking is that strict laws protecting the Bays should be enacted. Following this, I think that future development needs to be regulated to first include the development of infrastructure. Sussex County is in dire need of water and sewer infrastructure, new roads and traffic control measures, and technology options.
While groundwater is plentiful living here on the Delmarvalous sandbar, the quality of that water is questionable; and we can not continue to flush our waste into the ground for hundreds of thousands of people without causing eventual negative consequences.
While the increase in population will eventually entice more cable companies to serve populated areas of Sussex, the effects of gridlocked traffic will eventually impact our tourist industry negatively.
I think we should enact regulations delineating a new framework now that includes the use of State and Federal money, grant and business money, and funds from Developers, who should be required to pay for such infrastructure a certain number of years prior to starting their developments. They can pass the cost along to their buyers.
We can come up with a vaccine and medicines for Covid in a year. It amazes me that a cure for all cancers has not been achieved by now. People have speculated that they really don't want to discover a cure. Or reveal that they can. Thousands of hospitals and cancer centers would be shut down. Millions unemployed. I hope not. But it makes you wonder. I'm all for Bidens plan. S.C.Sipple
Thank you, Joe Biden, for the "clarification". Soo, when will your sons laptop material be available? Oh wait. he is a democrat (just like Hilary Clinton and her deleted emails ) All of the democrats are above the law.
Joe Edelen did a great job capturing the emotion of this well-orchestrated event. He is doing a terrific job covering and localizing issues that are important to the people of Kent County.
Well said sir, and I believe that most taxpayers (if they were actually aware of this) would agree with your assessment. This really makes you question why some of these council members ran for the position to begin with. Was it to serve the community or to get paid?
I hate to hear this being a former bicyclist but sadly we will keep hearing this happening in the "bicycle-friendly state". It just blows my mind that folks who can pay thousands of dollars for these machines today because most of them have very good educations and command high incomes but are not smart enough to not try to compete with machines that weigh thousands of pounds!! I guess I am a bit smarter than these people are because I know better and will never try this, not even in these cute little painted lined areas on the righthand side of streets with an international symbol for bicycles painted in the middle of them. I just cannot see how folks can think that all that paint will stop tons of steel driven by folks who are distracted or impaired from hitting them!!
this analogy is sooooo bad if it wasnt for the title no one would know what the heck Bob is talking about. i bet at parties its like ....... oh lord Bob is telling another joke, remember to laugh at the end or he gets mad.
Mr. Orgozalek left out a few people in his "Lock them up" solution.
How many years should these people get?
Someone who buys and/or sells guns without following the current registration and background checks.
Someone who doesn't lock up their guns securely at home so that young children can get their hands on them or they can be easily stolen.
Someone who buys guns for other people.
If Mr. Orgozalek does a bit more research, many of the mass shootings are committed by "Law abiding" citizens who don't have a criminal record. How does he explain that.

This school shooting has had very little media coverage, and it's certainly in the best interests of the University to keep this as muffled as possible. That’s probably not good for students, but that is the way things are done around these parts.
All of the gun control measures signed by Markell and now by Carney, while infringing on every law-abiding citizen of Delaware, have done little to stop the violent activities of a relatively few sociopaths committing these hateful acts. Hopefully DSA and the Delaware justice system will actually find and prosecute the offender(s) in this case. But if the prior school shooting mistakes made at DSU is any indication of the University's and State's resolve in stopping these acts, nobody responsible will be held accountable. Instead, Moms Demanding Action will be looking to further demonize the innocent. DSU, a reminder; your President and Faculty and your student body should never forget 17 year old Shalita Middleton gunned down on your campus in 2007. A young life taken with nobody held accountable.
so the rise in temp will cause more bacteria and erosion. hmm florida is much warmer and they dont have any problems with bacteria and swimmers but the warmer water is blue and clear and u can see the bottom in key west. that blows the warmer temp theory out of the water. erosion hmmmm did u know that a lot of deserts used to be
beaches with water and stuff? things change on mother earth. erosion has been going on forever an ever and it will continue. now for the real elephant in the room. remember high school and learning about photosynthesis? its when plants take CO2 and turn it into oxygen that we human breath every day. those horrible terrible CO2 greenhouse gasses u speak are actually necessary for us to live. maybe u need more plants on earth to rid us of those gasses and not so many electric cars and wind turbines
