The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce hopes you had a relaxing, reflective, and enjoyable extended Labor Day weekend with those you love the most. We hope you are feeling rejuvenated and refreshed as you soon reacclimate to a fresh work week ahead, the incoming fall season, and a season of new challenges and ideas.

The CDCC is grateful for the Labor Day holiday, a holiday to honor working people, like you. The CDCC is no stranger to all the incredibly passionate and hard-working individuals that make up the businesses in their membership. It is honored to be a part of your professional journey of working here in central Delaware – the heart of the first state.

The CDCC thanks its members for showing what it means to be true community servant leaders. Their members exemplify what it means to truly care for the prosperity of their fellow neighbors, neighborhoods, towns, cities, and overall community. From sponsorships, events, to road-cleanups, there are so many ways to get involved within the tight-knit Central Delaware community, and CDCC members accomplish every one of them, whether through the CDCC or through their own businesses. It is priceless to have so many people in one accord with the same goal – to support and grow central Delaware. One way to do this is by enhancing a flourishing economy and workforce to be the backbone of a well-functioning community.

The CDCC is proud to work with Del-Tech Community College for many programs and events throughout the year. DTCC has a reputation for impacting Central Delaware’s workforce tremendously through its graduates. This is making their collaboration with the Central Delaware Business and Entrepreneurship Consortium that much more impactful.
DTCC is hosting their annual Central Delaware Economic Summit this year on Sept. 13, in a hybrid fashion, with Keynote Speaker, Paul Helton, the Executive Director of LED FastStart. The purpose of the economic summit is to “advance the common goal of improving the economic life in central Delaware.”
This year’s overarching theme is “Transforming the Workforce.” This event is perfect for anyone who is interested in learning how to accelerate central Delaware’s “economic progress.”

This event promises to “Inform Stakeholders, Articulate Current Initiatives, Facilitate and Identify Opportunities for Collaborative Initiatives, Identify Future Opportunities, and Stimulate Action.”
This will be an enlightening event for the community, as attendees gather, learn, collaborate, and connect to build Central Delaware’s economy.

Join in the conversation, get your voice heard, and network with like-minded individuals who share the same goals for Central Delaware at this year’s Economic Summit. The agenda, panelists, speakers, sponsors, and last year’s video can be found here
