Police within the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control are teaming up with the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program to provide gifts for children.

Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls of all ages and distributes them as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children. DNREC’s Fish & Wildlife police, Environmental Crimes Unit and park rangers will be participating.

Donations will be accepted through Dec. 14 in Kent and Sussex counties and through Dec. 7 in New Castle. They can be taken to the following locations:

  • Delaware State Park offices statewide, including the Brandywine Zoo, Wilmington, and the First State National Historical Park, New Castle — weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The Natural Resources police office, 23530 Campbell Circle, Georgetown — weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The Richardson & Robbins Building, 89 Kings Highway, Dover — weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
