Posted

Recent audits of construction projects in the Brandywine and Colonial school districts showed that both districts spent funds they received for the projects appropriately, State Auditor Kathy McGuiness said in a press release Wednesday.

“It’s always reassuring to verify that taxpayer money has been spent efficiently and effectively,” she said.

The review examined five Brandywine projects, including renovations at Carrcroft Elementary and Brandywine High.

With Colonial, the audit reviewed renovations of John G. Leach School.
