DOVER — The Bayhealth Cancer Institute will be providing free prostate screenings on Saturday, Sept. 21, in recognition of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
The screening will take place at Bayhealth Radiation Oncology, Kent Campus, located at 640 S. State St. in Dover.
Bayhealth says is committed to helping community members stay at the forefront of their health by providing complimentary screenings.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers and the second-leading cause of death from cancer among Delawarean men.
The American Cancer Society recommends annual screenings beginning at age 50. High-risk groups are recommended to begin preventative screenings at age 40.
Screenings are by appointment only. Call the Bayhealth Cancer Institute at 302-744-6562 by Monday, Sept. 16, to schedule.
