It’s a day of friends, fashion and shopping. The W3 What Women Want Fest is a festive and relaxing day for women to gather together with their gal pals of all ages.

This fun, casual event returns to Wild Quail Golf & Country Club in Wyoming on Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The female-centric festival will include vendors, light refreshments, a complimentary signature cocktail, a fashion show, door prizes and giveaways in a festive, relaxed atmosphere, all presented by the Delaware State News.

Besides enjoying the elegantly laidback atmosphere, guests can visit and shop for fitness, fashion, jewelry, décor, beauty and more. This year’s signature cocktail is a fruity and refreshing sangria, provided by Wild Quail. A cash bar will also be available.

“There’ll be plenty of fun things to do and see,” said Heather Cregar, Delaware State News director of marketing & promotions. “There’s a variety of vendors, from shopping for jewelry to information about health and wellness and financial planning—all those kinds of things that just make your life more comfortable and fun.

The day fits whatever vibe a person brings: casual in jeans and sandals or looking sharp in something tailored. Some ladies dress to match their best friends. Others prefer to match last names, as generations of gals carpool to share an afternoon together.

This year’s fashion show will be presented by Talbots of Dover featuring their beautiful spring and summer fashions modeled by local women leaders. Come meet these amazing women and see them keenly take on a new challenge—the catwalk.

“As in past years, our ‘celebrities’ are just a few of the local women who run our non-profits and businesses and are truly a reflection of the words ‘Girl Power,’” said Ms. Cregar.

W3 aims to highlight fascinating women and women’s topics: at the fashion show, at each booth and in the W3 publication. Women’s lives are multifaceted, from their work and expertise to their passions and pride. As emphasized by one of the community models, Heather Contant—women are “more than just one thing: their looks, or their brain, or one thing they do—they’re so complex and beautiful in that way.”

Fitness demos include Flexibility & Strengthening with the Forever Fit Foundation, plus the always-energizing YMCA Zumba.

Sponsors include B.I.G. Investment Services, Dover Federal Credit Union, SEIFF Center, CNU Fit and Dedicated to Women. This year’s Charitable Fundraising Sponsor is Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Visit their booths to hear more about their services, and see their models in the show.

General admission tickets cost $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
